Bobcats continue to retool adding Svenson

The Lloydminster Bobcats have added another tool to the team’s roster ahead of main camp opening in late August. Calgary native Cole Svenson will come up to the Bobcats after putting together a successful offensive season with the Calgary Royals.

Svenson will join fellow teammate Alex Danis on the club’s group of forwards. This season Svenson lit the lamp 15 times in 34 games and totalled 26 points and 32 penalty minutes. Andrew Gilbert, Bobcats Director of Player Personnel, spent many days in the rink watching Svenson and believes he’s an asset to the team.

“Cole is a hard-nosed player who does a lot of the little things right on both the offensive and defensive side of the game. He is willing to go to those tough areas, battle for pucks, and contribute offensively,” says Gilbert.

Aside from Svenson’s play on the ice, the team says he’s known for his character and hard work in the off-season. Gilbert adds that the team is excited to add such character to the team’s lineup.

“We are thrilled that Cole chose Lloydminster and we feel he consistently demonstrates the four foundational pillars of the Bobcats.”
