North Battleford woman charged in death of Tiki Brook-Lyn Laverdiere

Charges have been laid in the death of 25-year-old Tiki Brook-Lyn Laverdiere. On Saturday, July 20, the Saskatchewan RCMP Major Crime Unit North arrested and charged 27-year-old Shayla Orthner of North Battleford with first degree murder, kidnapping, theft of a motor vehicle and improperly interfering with a human body.

Orthner is scheduled to make her first court appearance in North Battleford Provincial Court on Tuesday, July 23, at 9:30 a.m. The investigation is ongoing and no further details are available. Mounties expect more arrests will be made in the coming weeks.
