Vermilion River Council appoints new CAO

The County of Vermilion River council has appointed Harold Northcutt as its new Chief Administrative officer after a lengthy recruitment process. Northcutt will replace former Elk Point administrator Pat King who served as interim CAO since February after Rhonda King had resigned.

The county says, in a news release on Friday, they look forward to Northcutt’s progressive leadership style and commitment to customer service.

With a Bachelor of Science Degree in Community Services, Northcutt also brings CAO experience from a number of rural and urban communities. Northcutt’s lengthy resume also includes a designation as a Certified Local Government Manager through the Society of Local Government Managers of Alberta.

As CAO, Northcutt will be responsible for the supervision of daily operations and performance for the organization.

Northcutt will join the organization as its new CAO on September 3, 2019.
