Lloydminster RCMP makes sixth arrest in the death of Tiki Laverdiere

RCMP have made a sixth arrest in relation to the homicide investigation of Tiki Brook-Lyn Laverdiere. At the request of Saskatchewan’s Major Crime Unit, Lloydminster RCMP arrested Soaring Eagle Whitstone of the Onion Lake Cree Nation at a Lloydminster home on August. 6.

The 33-year-old is facing four charges including first-degree murder and improperly interfering with a human body. Whitstone will make her next court appearance on August 8th in a North Battleford Provincial Court.

Five others are facing charges in the death of Lavidiere who went missing at the beginning of May after attending a funeral in the North Battleford and Thunderchil First Nation area.

RCMP says investigators are anticipating more arrests.
