City of Lloydminster looking for input on 2020 budget

The city of Lloydminster is asking residents to give their feedback for the city’s budget.

The city has launched an online survey as they start to plan the 2020 budget. The survey asks residents rank the importance and the amount of money should be spent on different services the city provides. The budget will be used to control expenses and financial operations of the municipality.

“To help shape the City of Lloydminster priorities for 2020, Council and Administration are hopeful residents will use these engagement opportunities to speak to their elected officials,” says Mayor Gerald Aalbers. “We want residents to know we are committed to drafting a budget that speaks to the needs of their community.”

Earlier this month, the city asked for feedback on the budget at the Community Information and Registration Night. The response from both the survey and the Registration Night will be considered when drafting the 2020 budget.

The survey closes on September 30.
