Jonson murder suspect awaits possible bail hearing in North Battleford

One of two charged in the death of Mark Douglas Jonson may have a bail hearing at the end of the month. 22-year-old Nicolas Buck appeared in North Battleford Provincial Court on September 27 via closed-circuit-television.

His case is adjourned until October 29 at 11 am for a possible bail hearing. Buck is currently in custody and faces 10 charges, including first-degree murder after 61-year-old Jonson was found dead in a residence on July 5.

The other suspect in the case, 47-year-old David Keller, had a bail hearing on September 26 at Court of Queen’s Bench in Battleford. The matter is currently waiting on a decision from the judge.

Keller is charged with first-degree murder in Jonson’s death.
