Lloydminster Bobcats forward Noah Bauld has committed to Cornell University of the NCAA.
The 18-year-old is in his first year with the club, and had an immediate impact, scoring 6 goals in the preseason. Bauld missed the first two regular season games with the flu, but since then has score 6 goals and 2 assists in 10 games.
“I am very honoured to be given the opportunity to play at a school with such excellent athletic and academic programs,” said Bauld. “Playing Division I hockey has been a huge goal for me ever since I made the decision to attend prep school, and to make a commitment to play at Cornell University is a dream come true.”
Including Bauld, the 2015-16 Bobcats now boast eight players who have already committed to NCAA programs.
He joins Kevin Darrar, who has committed to Holy Cross, Cole Josefchak and Alex Pernitsky with Colorado College, Christian Lloyd with Sacred Heart, Nick Quillan and Evan Tschumi with Colgate University, and Troy Van Tetering with the University of Alaska-Fairbanks.
