Aurora Middle School in Lac La Biche is celebrating after a large donation to its Youth Achievement Program.
Access Pipeline has donated $10,000 to the program, which provides hands-on learning opportunities for a number of careers, including trades.
“The hands-on opportunities provided through YAP engage students in learning and help prepare them for the world of work once they graduate,” said NLSD Board Chair Arlene Hrynyk. “These enhanced learning opportunities would not be possible without the support YAP receives from Access and our other corporate sponsors.”
“Access values the youth and the region where we operate. We are very pleased to be a part of this excellent initiative,” said Stuart Carter, Land and Environmental Lead for Access Pipeline.
The donation marks the second straight year the company has supported the initiative.
