Expect some lane closures on Highway 16 near Sobeys

Traffic signals are being upgraded in the Border City.

Drivers and pedestrians are advised by the city to follow any signage around the corner of Best Buy and Sobeys on Highway 16 and 75 ave. 

The traffic signals are being upgraded, starts on Monday, December 1. The city is not expecting to have to close the area off, but there will be workers at the intersection and around the area. However, there will be lane restrictions.

If the weather cooperates, the project is expected to be completed by Thursday, December 19. 

While driving in the area, be aware of your surroundings and watch out for workers.
