RCMP called to helicopter crash in Biggar

The Transportation Safety Board is investigating after a helicopter crash near Biggar.

In the evening of Tuesday, October 27, the RCMP, Biggar Fire Department and EMS were called to a field 1 km south of Kinley, where a helicopter had gone down.

The RCMP say that a 48-year-old man from Calgary was found dead on the scene. The man was reportedly flying from Calgary to Saskatoon, but the cause of the crash is not yet known.

The accident is the second such crash in a span of two weeks, after a helicopter crash in that occurred in Paynton on Thursday, October 22.
