Maidstone RCMP investigate car crash near Lashburn

Maidstone RCMP are investigating a car crash near Lashburn.

The Meridian Booster reports that early in the afternoon of Wednesday, November 5, the RCMP were called to a two-car collision, where a westbound SUV on highway 16 rear-ended a white minivan. The minivan was found lying in the grassy patch between eastbound and westbound lanes of the highway, while the SUV shot off the road and drove over the railroad tracks, stopping in a ditch between two rail lines. The driver and passenger of the minivan were taken to the hospital, while the driver of the SUV was uninjured.

Maidstone RCMP says the investigation is ongoing, and no charges have been laid.
