The United Nurses of Alberta are planning a province-wide on Thursday over concerns of provincial government cuts.
Local 55 (Vermilion Health Centre) will be holding an information rally outside of the health centre located at 5720 50 Avenue. The rally is scheduled from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.
According to the UNA, the rally to ” raise concerns about the Alberta government’s decision to lay off hundreds of nurses across Alberta and the impact it will have on safe patient care.”
Twenty-seven rallies in total are scheduled to take place at health centres and hospitals across Alberta.
