Lloydminster RCMP have announced a major drug bust. On July 13, responding to a call of two men trying to break into a vehicle, then leave the scene in a different vehicle, the RCMP found the two suspects with evidence that the two were involved in drug trafficking. The police found in the two vehicles 239 grams of crack cocaine, marijuana, 13 thousand dollars cash and a prohibited weapon. An 18 year old Edmonton man and a 19 year old Stony Plain man were charged with multiple offences, including possession of a controlled substance with intent to traffic, possession of the proceeds of crime, and possession of a prohibited weapon. The two were released on bail with heavy conditions, including a curfew, and no communication with each other. The two will be back in Lloydminster court on July 22nd.
