Elections Saskatchewan prompting voters to update information ahead of provincial election

Elections Saskatchewan is reminding Lloydminster residents on the Saskatchewan side to update their voter information.

The nonpartisan body wants to ensure all eligible voters have provided up-to-date information so they can receive their voter cards in a timely manner. Elections Saskatchewan says, in an election first, voters can also choose to get their card by text or email instead of a printed card.

New residents and those turning 18 before the election can register by visiting their website or by calling 1-877-958-8683.

The election is scheduled for October 26 but could be held earlier if the Legislative Assembly is dissolved. To vote in the election, voters must be a Canadian citizen, be at least 18-years-old and has lived in Saskatchewan for at least six months before the day the election is called.
