A pumper truck and command vehicle responded to a smoke call at the Olive Tree on 5002 51 Ave at around 11 a.m. on March 18. People evacuated the building while the fire crews investigated whether the cause of the smoke came from inside.
Fire Chief Leigh Sawicki says the belt on one of the rooftop heating units had burnt off and there is no risk to the public.
He says the building will re-open very shortly.
