SHA confirms positive COVID-19 case in Lloydminster

The Saskatchewan Health Authority is confirming a positive case of COVID-19 in Lloydminster.

SHA spokesperson Doug Dahl says SHA staff are reaching out to those at risk of contracting the virus or who may have come into contact with the positive case. He says details on the case are not being shared due to patient privacy.

Dahl reminds residents to take precautions to reduce the risk of exposure by thoroughly washing their hands, avoid touching their face, follow guidelines on physical distancing and monitor for any symptoms of COVID-19.

“We want to remind everyone that during this time social distancing is extremely important. Please stay home. Keep your distance from each other. If you are out in the community to get essential things, practice proper handwashing and disinfect the things you are bringing into your home before putting them away.”
