County of Vermilion River updates on operating services

As of March 30th, the County of Vermilion River is continuing to operate core services during the COVID-19 pandemic.

All county buildings remain closed to the public and the county has started work from home protocols, staggered shifts at facilities and other contingency measures to ensure infrastructure and services are maintained.

All transfer sites are open during regular business hours with the only closure to the public being the Vermilion transfer site scale house.

Fire Services and Enforcement Services will operate as normal with calls being assigned and officers patrolling county roads. Fire permits can still be requested by calling the county administration office.

Snow clearing and general road safety will also continue as normal. Road permits can be requested by calling the public works office. Permit applications are still being looked at and utilities will operate the same as before.

Council meetings will stay as scheduled but will take place online. All recreation facilities remain closed until further notice.

Questions residents may have are being directed to county staff at their administration office.
