Lloydminster RCMP investigating shots fired on east side of the city

Lloydminster RCMP are asking for the public’s help in finding multiple people involved in a shooting on the east side of the city.

Mounties received a report of several gunshots at a business in the 4700 block of 44 Street in the early hours of March 30. RCMP say several officers rushed to the area but were unable to find the suspects. Officers found a bullet hole in the wall of the business and a fired round.

Lloydminster RCMP interviewed witnesses in the area. They say two groups were involved and video surveillance showed two victims running away westbound and three suspects running northbound between the buildings after the shooting.

“Anyone with information about this incident is encouraged to contact the RCMP,” says Const. Michael Hagel. “We believe this incident was targeted, not random; there is no danger to the public.”

Anyone with information on the shooting is asked to contact Lloydminster RCMP at 780-808-8400 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 to remain anonymous. Residents can also submit tips online at www.P3Tips.com or by using the P3 Tips app.
