Kitscoty RCMP recover stolen truck, arrest two

Kitscoty RCMP have arrested two people in connection with a stolen truck.

On the afternoon of March 26th, police received reports that a truck had allegedly been taken from Lloydminster and was headed north out of the city.

After turning down a dead-end road on Township Road 510, the suspect attempted to get away on foot but was caught with the help of the Lloydminster RCMP and police dogs. Another man at the scene was arrested.

37-year-old Ashley Allen Cadrain and 40-year-old Trevor Tessmer were each charged with possession of property obtained by crime exceeding $5000.

Cadrain was also charged with possession of property obtained by crime under $5000 and failure to comply.

Cadrain will appear in Vermilion Provincial Court on June 15, 2020, and Tessmer will appear in Lloydminster Provincial Court on July 28, 2020.
