Kristmas with the Kinettes set to kick off

Lloydminster’s Kinettes club has announced their plans for their 6th annual Christmas party.

Kristmas with the Kinettes is set to take place Saturday, November 21, at the Centennial Civic Centre Auditorium, featuring a dinner, followed by a hypnotist and a dance.

Committee member Leanne Melnechenko says the event has always been very popular.

“It’s always been a huge success,” Melnechenko said, “[both] in terms of responses of guests at the event, where they say they had a great time, the meal is always fabulous, and wonderful entertainment followed by dancing, but it’s also been a good financial success for our club. We’ve been able to raise a number of dollars. Kinsmen/Kinettes Canada – our national motto is ‘serving our communities’ greatest needs’, and so we have been able to reinvest in our community in a number of ways.

“This year, one of our focuses has been to build an outdoor adult gym in Kinsman Park.”

Melnechenko also says that the dinner is sold out, with 270 people expected to attend.

The event will get underway with cocktails, at 5:30 p.m.
