Crime on the decline in Lloydminster

Staff Sergeant Joe Wenisch from Lloydminster’s RCMP detachment spoke at the Monday Rotary Club meeting about the state of policing in Lloydminster. Wenisch had good news to share, saying that most forms of crime in the city were on the decrease, with criminal code violations down 20 per cent. And Wenisch says drug crime is also declining in Lloydminster and credits the decrease in crime to the work of his officers. Wenisch has been the staff sergeant at the local RCMP detachment since April and says he enjoys policing and living in the border city.
