Kitscoty RCMP arrest three after attempted trailer theft

Kitscoty RCMP have arrested three people in connection with a break and enter in the area.

At about 9:20 am March 21st, police were called after three suspects allegedly attempted to steal a trailer from a rural property in Marwayne. With the help of Vermilion RCMP and police dogs, three suspects were found and arrested.

Justin Gervan of Andrew, Alberta and Jade Thornton of Lamont County were jointly charged with two counts of break and enter and possession of property obtained by crime and theft over $5000.

Jesse Hugh Flett from Standoff was also charged with these counts and one of failure to comply. He is still in custody and will appear April 20th in Lloydminster Provincial Court.

Gervan and Thornton were released from custody and are set to appear in Lloydminster Provincial Court on June 2nd 2020.
