Two new COVID-19 cases in Lloydminster, six across Saskatchewan

The Saskatchewan Health Authority has confirmed new COVID-19 cases in Lloydminster.

In their April 30th update, they confirmed three new COVID-19 cases in the North Zone, with two being in the City of Lloydminster. This number adds to 34 verified cases announced by SHA yesterday.

Across the province, six new cases are now active, with four more people having recovered. Ten people are in hospital, three of which are in Saskatoon ICUs. Of the 389 cases reported, 81 are active, 295 are recovered.

The Saskatchewan Government is reminding residents if they choose to begin visiting with another family or certain friends, they should keep public health restrictions in mind:

  • Families or friends must remain consistent. Do not visit different families or friends.
  • If someone is going to create an extended household group, consider if any member of the group has chronic health conditions that would put them at greater risk, or if they are in close contact with someone who could be vulnerable.
  • Gatherings – inside or outside – must follow the public health order and be no more than 10 people.
  • Stay home if  sick
  • Maintain physical distancing by keeping two-metres apart.

COVID-19 testing numbers sit at 29,642 across Saskatchewan, with 27,401 negative diagnoses.
