Two new COVID-19 cases in Lloydminster, six across Saskatchewan

The Saskatchewan Health Authority is reporting six new COVID-19 cases in the last 24 hours, two being in Lloydminster.

Two more are in Prince Albert, with one each being confirmed in Saskatoon and Regina. Health Authorities are also investigating eight locally identified cases in La Loche, however, these have not yet been reported by the Roy Romanow Provincial Laboratory, so they will not be reflected in the province’s total numbers as of May 1st. The Saskatchewan Health Authority has advised of an outbreak in Beauval. A contact tracing investigation is underway.

There are currently 12 people in hospital, with inpatient numbers at five in the North region and five in Saskatoon and two are in intensive care in Saskatoon. There have also been five more recoveries, putting active cases at 113 of 401 cases reported. Total recoveries are at 302. In the north zone, the numbers are at 27 active, 57 recoveries.

COVID-19 testing numbers are at 30,845, with 28,430 negative results.
