Four new COVID-19 cases in Saskatchewan North Zone, 12 across Saskatchewan

Saskatchewan is confirming twelve new COVID-19 cases, divided over three zones.

The new cases are four each in the North zone, Far North zone and Saskatoon. Local results pointing to new cases locally identified in La Loche have still not been confirmed by the Roy Romanow Provincial Laboratory daily summaries, and are not factored into the May 2nd update.

There are currently 14 people in hospital, eleven receiving inpatient care (five in the North region and six in Saskatoon) and three are in Saskatoon intensive care.

There have also been three recoveries province-wide. This brings total Saskatchewan numbers to 433 reported cases, 122 active. Recoveries are at 305. In the north zone, there are 31 active cases and 57 recoveries.

COVID-19 testing numbers are at 31,572, with 29,069 negative cases.
