Lloydminster Bobcats announce trade with Drayton Valley Thunder

The Lloydminster Bobcats have announced a trade.

The team has sent long-time 20-year-old defenceman Austin Yaremchuk to the Drayton Valley Thunder, for 19-year-old forward Brett Smythe.

Smythe joins the Bobcats in his 3rd AJHL season, having earned 87 points in 135 career games with the Thunder. Last season, Smythe set a career high with 12 goals and 32 assists for 44 points in 57 games. Smythe is currently out with an injury, but is expected to return after the Christmas break.

Yaremchuk was the longest serving current member of the Bobcats, having played 182 games over 4 seasons. This season, he has registerd 4 goals and 9 assists for 13 points in 26 games.
