Battlefords RCMP investigating two shootings

Battlefords RCMP are investigating two May 5th shootings in North Battleford, one of which resulted in injuries.

Police were called to a home on the 1200 block of 108th Street at 2:30 AM, where they’d found a man who had been shot. He sustained non-life threatening injuries after the bullet, shot from outside, hit him while he was inside a room in the house. Police do not believe this attack was random.

RCMP are also investigating another home being shot at on the 1700 block of Trudeau Street. Police didn’t find out about this incident until the next morning when the owner awoke and found the bullet holes in his home. Investigators believe the shooting happened at around 3:30AM, and that this house may have been targeted by mistake.

Anyone with information or video footage the RCMP has not contacted yet is asked to get in touch with Battlefords RCMP or CrimeStoppers.
