Eleven new COVID-19 cases, nine more recoveries in Saskatchewan

The Saskatchewan Health Authority says there are eleven new COVID-19 cases in the last 24 hours.

The majority of the new cases are in the Far North zone, with three of five being in La Loche. Two have also been verified in the North Zone. This brings COVID-19 numbers in the province to 209 active cases of 569 reported. Recoveries, with nine new ones in the last day, are now at 349. In the North Zone, that number sits at 37 active, 67 recovered and 105 total reported cases.

There are currently 12 people in hospital. Eight are receiving inpatient care, five in the North and three in Saskatoon. Four are in intensive care, all in Saskatoon.

As of May 10th, there have been 36,860 COVID-19 tests performed, with 33,534 negative results.
