Eight new COVID-19 cases, ten recoveries in Saskatchewan

Saskatchewan`s latest 24-hour update has confirmed eight new COVID-19 cases, all in the province`s far north.

Five of these cases are in La Loche, the other three in Beauval. This brings active cases up to 196 of 590 confirmed. There have also been ten more recoveries in the province, bringing the recovery rate up to 69 per cent.

Nine people are in hospital, one in the North, two in Regina and three in Saskatoon. Three people are also in the ICU in Saskatoon.

In the North Zone, there are eighteen active cases and 87 recoveries.

In total, 39,233 COVID-19 tests have been performed Saskatchewan wide.
