Onion Lake woman among four arrested for murder

An Onion Lake woman is one of four suspects up on charges in relation to the death of 25-year-old Nature Duperron.

Duperron’s body was recovered in the Hinton area in May 2019, after being reported missing in April. An investigation ruled her death as foul play, committed somewhere between Edmonton and Hinton.

As a result of the Alberta RCMP Major Crimes Unit investigation, four people have been charged. 21-year-old Tyra Muskego from Onion Lake, 31-year-old Kala Leigh Bajusz from Edmonton, Buddy Rae Underwood and Grayson Eashappie are all facing charges of alleged first-degree murder, robbery and kidnapping.

Muskego has been granted bail as she awaits trial, on several conditions including house arrest. She will appear in Edmonton Provincial Court on June 5th. Underwood is set to appear June 5th as well, while Eashappie will appear June 15th.
