Five new COVID-19 cases, 12 more recoveries in Saskatchewan

The latest Saskatchewan Health Authority numbers show twelve straight days of more recoveries than new cases.

As of May 22nd, five new cases have been confirmed, four in the Far North and one in the South region of the province. This brings active cases to 99 of 627 reported. Twelve more recoveries brings that number up to 521, or 83% of all reported cases. In the North Zone, active cases remain at 6, with 102 recoveries.

Five people also remain in hospital, three in Saskatoon ICUs and one each receiving inpatient care in Regina and Saskatoon.

To date, 42,843 COVID-19 tests have been performed in the province.
