Saskatchewan records eleventh COVID-19 death, one new case

Saskatchewan has recorded it’s eleventh death related to COVID-19.

The person, who was in their 70s, had tested positive for COVID-19 before passing away. They lived in the North region.

As of May 31st, there is also one new COVID-19 case and two more recoveries. This brings active case numbers to 53 of 646. Recoveries are now at 582, or 90 per cent of all confirmed COVID-19 cases. In the North Zone, there are three deaths in total, four cases and 105 recoveries.

Four people in the hospital, three are receiving inpatient care, one in Regina and two in Saskatoon. One person in the ICU in Saskatoon.

To date, 47,824 COVID-19 tests have been performed in the province.
