City performing property reinspections remotely on south side

The City of Lloydminster’s Assessment department will be reinspecting some properties in the city remotely this summer.

Due to COVID-19, staff are unable to go door-to-door for the reinspection and so they will be conducting them either online, through mail or by phone. Property owners will receive details with property specific identification by mail on or after June 5 via Canada Post.

Properties currently being looked at are those located south of 25 Street and west of 59 Avenue below Highway 16.

Owners will have 60 days to fill in and return the form. Those who do not will not be able to file an assessment complaint in 2021.

Assessors will still be visiting properties to take photographs of the property and an interior inspection may be done at a later date. The city says assessors will have proper identification and will respect physical distancing guidelines.

For more information regarding the reinspection, residents can email [email protected].
