Lloydminster man pleads guilty to second degree murder

A Lloydminster man has pleaded guilty to second degree murder.

On September 9, 2012, the body of 35-year-old Bryan Gower was found on by the Kitscoty RCMP on a roadway just outside of Lloydminster. Two 22-year-old men were charged with murder – Kyle Halbauer and Randy O’Hagan, both from Lloydminster.

On Monday, November 30, O’Hagan pleaded guilty to second degree murder, and has been sentenced to 11 years in jail, which he will serve consecutively to the life sentence he is already serving for the first-degree murder of Lori Santos on September 12th, 2012, in Saskatoon.

The RCMP also say that a third man has been charged with first degree murder in the case – 29-year-old Joshua Petrin, from Edmonton. He will appear in court on February 22, 2016.
