Lloydminster breaks rainfall record

A new rainfall record was set this past weekend in the Lloydminster region.

From Saturday (June 6) to Sunday, Environment Canada’s preliminary report recorded 45.9 mm of precipitation in the city. There was about 28 mm of rainfall on Saturday breaking the previous record of 16.2 mm in 1989.

The surrounding areas also saw similar amounts as Wainwright had 49.1 mm, Vermilion 45.8 mm and 43 mm fell in North Battleford.
