City crews have begun herbicide sprays in local parks.
The process is ongoing all summer, and areas that are being sprayed will be marked off. Parks and Green Spaces department crews will be doing it to control the spread of noxious weeds.
All herbicides used, the city says, are federally and provincially certified to be the least toxicity to off-target plants or animals.
The city is telling visitors to follow signs marking off areas until crews have removed them, and keep off the grass during the process.
