The Saskatchewan Government has set a date to start Phase four of re-opening.
On June 22nd, many recreation places such as child and youth camps, outdoor pools, splash parks and outdoor sports or activities can start running again. Residents are encouraged to check in with these facilities beforehand as some may choose to re-open on their own time.
Much like daycares, child and youth camps will have a limit of 15 people in a group, or within a defined space in the context of larger places. Groups must stay together at all times and not mix, including at mealtimes, drop-offs, and play times, both indoor and outdoor.
Many of the other precautions and guidelines for these places are already in place at other re-opened facilities, including physical distancing, hand washing or sanitizing and staying home if sick.
The province will also be increasing public and private gathering limits on the 22nd. People will be able to have indoor gatherings of up to 30 people, provided they can keep up physical distancing. Outdoor gatherings will stay at 30 for the time being.
If food is being served, potlucks or buffets are being discouraged. The government advises that one person should handle the preparation of food and drink following proper food safety protocols. This reduces the number of people who touch serving utensils or drink containers.
A date for the second part of phase four, which will include the re-opening of indoor pools, rinks, libraries, museums, galleries, movie theatres, casinos and bingo halls will be set later.
