Man charged with murder of Todd Stone arrested in Sherwood Park

A 32-year-old man wanted for the death of Todd Stone has been arrested in Sherwood Park.

Strathcona County RCMP arrested Michael Jordan White without incident on July 8. Saskatchewan RCMP travelled to Sherwood Park to move White to North Battleford where he stayed in custody until his appearance in provincial court on July 9.

White is being charged with the second-degree murder of Todd Stone. Stone was found unconscious with significant head trauma in a North Battleford house on May 12. He was transported to a hospital in Saskatoon where he later died.

RCMP learned of an altercation between Stone and another man and launched an investigation. An autopsy on May 19 found Stone’s death to be a homicide. An arrest warrant was issued for Michael Jordan White of Sweetgrass First Nation.

Saskatchewan RCMP Major Crimes Unit North thanks Strathcona County RCMP for their help in the investigation.
