Work on 12 Street and 75 Ave Intersection beginning Tuesday

The City is starting work on another construction project Tuesday.

Starting July 14th, crews will be working on the intersection of 12 Street at 75 Avenue. They’ll be building a westbound right turn lane, for vehicles headed north on 75 Avenue. Workers will also be patching failed areas and repairing asphalt.

The work is part of the 2020 Street Improvement Project, which is upgrading roads around the city. Work has already begun on 28 Street and 53 Avenue from 56 Avenue to 27 Street, 45 Avenue from 32 Street to 33 Street and 36 Street from 59 Avenue to the 63 Avenue Close. Trail improvements are also slated for the 59 Avenue Trail from 40 Street to 41 Street.

Drivers are urged to allow extra time for travel, slow down while driving in construction zones and obey all signs, detours and barriers.

Work on these projects is expected to wrap up on August 8th, weather permitting.

Update: This article has been corrected to reflect the right turn lane onto 75 Avenue.
