Lloydminster Honda helping out local food bank

Lloydminster’s Honda dealership is asking the community for help in its Stuff the CR-V food drive.

The dealership is looking for visitors to the business as well as the general public to drop off non-perishable food items, which will be sent to the Salvation Army Food Bank.

“Ultimately, our fundraising goal is to stuff and fill the CR-V, and drop it off at least once, hopefully, twice. We’re about halfway to our goal and we’d like to contribute as much as possible, especially at this time of the year and with the economy, there’s added pressure put on to the food bank,” said Cynthia Sam, a sales representative at Honda, who took on organizing the food drive.

Sam also mentioned that as an incentive for people to donate, anyone who contributes non-perishables to fill the CR-V will be entered into a draw for a choice of items from Honda’s pro-shop: either a pair of Oakley’s sunglasses or a Strider bike, winner’s choice. The drive ends on Saturday, December 19.
