City facilities closed for Heritage Day, some rec facilities to stay open

The City says while many services will be closed for the holiday Monday, some will remain open for public use.

City Hall, the Operations Centre, the bylaw office and the Lloydminster RCMP detachment will be closed on August 3rd’s Heritage Day, and will all resume operations the next day. While the RCMP detachment building will be closed, people can still call for general concerns, in case of an emergency, 911.  The Operations Centre can also be reached over the phone for emergencies.

The Lloydminster Sanitary Landfill will also be closed, opening back up again Tuesday.

Some City-run services will remain open, however. People can book some time at Servus Sports Centre and the Lloydminster Golf and Curling Centre, which will be open from 9 AM-9 PM and 6 AM to 10 PM, respectively. Due to COVID-19 restrictions, times to play at these locations needs to be booked online in advance.

Curbside garbage pickup will also go on as normal, moving through it’s regularly scheduled Monday route, which residents can find online.
