Results in from latest North Battleford Traffic Enforcement event

North Battleford RCMP say they had a busy couple days with their latest traffic enforcement blitz.

Police in the area held their Selective Traffic Enforcement Program on July 23rd and 24th, with the help of the Saskatchewan RCMP Traffic Services and other detachments.  The main focuses of the ride checks were impaired driving, distracted driving, aggressive driving, and proper seatbelts.

During that time, police issued 300 tickets total. 152 were speeding tickets, 55 were for failing to stop at a sign or light, 19 were for seatbelt related issues and 11 for cell phone violations.

The RCMP is thanking the public for their cooperation, and encourage anyone who sees a dangerous or possibly impaired driver to pull over and report it to their local RCMP detachment or call 9-1-1.
