Children safe after potential Amber Alert in Unity

The Saskatchewan RCMP say three children are safe after a potential Amber Alert was almost called Tuesday night.

Police were called to a home in the area around 5 PM on July 28th about an alleged assault and possible parental abduction. The initial investigation had determined that the children had allegedly been taken by their father from their mother’s home.

While getting ready to call an Amber Alert, the RCMP found the father in Kyle, Saskatchewan. The children, who were not with the father, were found at a home in Maidstone shortly after, safe and unharmed.

The Saskatchewan RCMP says the investigation is ongoing and more details will be released when available. No names have been released by police at this time.
