Police were called to a home just after 2 PM on August 6th, because a man was allegedly uttering threats and was believed to have a gun. At the time, RCMP were advising residents to avoid the area.

The suspect was arrested without incident by the RCMP Emergency Response Team. There may temporarily be a continued officer presence in the Mosquito Lake First Nation, as the North Battleford RCMP investigation is ongoing.

The RCMP is thanking the Mosquito First Nation community for their patience and cooperation, and say further information will be provided Friday morning.
