Northwest Zone drops to six active COVID-19 cases, five new in Saskatchewan

One COVID-19 case in the Northwest region of Saskatchewan has recovered and the total number of active cases in the region is now at six.

As of August 12th, one case in the Battlefords subregion has recovered and now has no active cases. There remains four active cases in the Cut Knife, Unity and Wilkie area. The area that includes Lloydminster, Maidstone and Lashburn has one active case as does the Turtleford, St. Walburg, Paradise Hill area.

Across Saskatchewan, there were five new cases, four in Regina and one in the North Central zone.

Ten people remain in hospital across the province. Five are receiving inpatient care, three in Saskatoon, one in the North Central region and one in the South West.
Of the 1,484 reported cases, 150 are considered active.  A total of 1,314 people have recovered.
