One new COVID-19 case in the North-West, 15 across Saskatchewan

One more COVID-19 case has been reported in the North-West zone after a spike in cases yesterday.

The new case is listed in the Turtleford, St. Walburg, Paradise Hill area. There is one active case in that area as well as one in the area housing Lloydminster as of August 15. There are 20 cases in the area housing Cut Knife, Unity and Wilkie and one case in the Battlefords area.

Across the province, 15 new cases were confirmed. Five more cases were found in the South-Central zone, five in the South-West zone, three in the Central-East zone and one in the Central-West. One more COVID-19 related death has been confirmed. The person was in their 80s in the North-Central zone.

Twelve of the 15 new cases and 127 of the 193 active cases are in communal living settings.

Eight people are in hospital. Four people are receiving inpatient care; two in the South-West, one in Saskatoon and one in Regina. Four people are in intensive care; all in Saskatoon.

Of the 1,580 reported cases, a total of 1,365 people have recovered.
