One new COVID-19 case in Saskatchewan, North-West area unchanged

One new COVID-19 case has been reported in the South-West zone of Saskatchewan and 22 more cases have recovered.

In the North-West zone, there is one active case the subregion that houses Lloydminster and Maidstone as of August 17th. There remains one case in each the Turtleford, St. Walburg, Paradise Hill area and the Battlefords area. There are 20 cases in the area housing Cut Knife, Unity and Wilkie.

Of the 172 active cases across the province, 113 are in communal living settings.

Eight people are in hospital. Four people are receiving inpatient care; two in the South-West, one in Saskatoon and one in Regina. Four people are in intensive care; all in Saskatoon.

Of the 1,581 reported cases, a total of 1,387 people have recovered.
