Two COVID-19 recoveries in the M.D. of Wainwright, one in the County of Vermilion River

Two more COVID-19 cases have recovered in the M.D. of Wainwright as well as one more case in the County of Vermilion River.

There are 42 active cases, 16 recoveries and one death in the M.D of Wainwright as of August 16th. In the County of Vermilion River, there are four active cases and nine recoveries, according to Alberta Health data.

Across Alberta, there were 359 new cases reported and over 26,000 tests done over the weekend. Of the new cases, 177 were recorded on August 14th, 86 on August 15th, and 96 on August 16th.

There remains 85 active cases in the Central zone with three people being treated in hospital and 470 cases considered to be recovered.
