No new COVID-19 cases recorded across Saskatchewan in last day

It has been a quieter day for COVID-19 numbers across Saskatchewan, including in the North-West zone.

According to their August 25th update, Saskatchewan’s health officials have not confirmed any new COVID-19 cases across the province, but have found that eight more people have recovered. One of these recoveries was found in the North-West zone, housing Lloydminster, the Battlefords and surrounding area. Total cases for the zone are at 25.

Breaking this down into subregions, the latest update shows Lloydminster and District area sits at one active case, the Battlefords zone at four. The Cut Knife-Wilkie subregion stands at 17 active cases. The Turtleford-St. Walburg subregion remains at three active confirmed cases.

There has also been one more fatality in Saskatchewan from COVID-19, a person in their 70s from the Central zone. Four people also remain in hospital, all in Saskatoon. Three of these cases are in the Intensive Care Unit.

Of the 1,601 reported cases, 88 are considered active. A total of 1,490 people have recovered.
