The NorthWest zone, housing Lloydminster, the Battlefords and surrounding towns has only a single COVID-19 recovery to report in the latest 24-hour update.

Cases in the area sit at eight in the area, with the one recovery in the Battlefords area. It currently has three active, confirmed cases. The Cut Knife-Wilkie area sits at three active cases. The Lloydminster and St Walburg-Turtleford districts have one case a piece confirmed.

In total, there are two new cases, one in Saskatoon and the other in the Far North to report. There have also been sixteen recoveries in the last day. Hospitalization numbers have also not changed in the last day, remaining at three, all in Saskatoon. Two of these cases are in intensive care.

The province is also reminding people that as schools re-open in the coming weeks, they should understand that their social bubble will expand. In response, they’re urging people to continue washing hands frequently, maintaining physical distancing and follow mask policies of that business or institution. They add that above all, people need to stay home if they are sick.

Of the 1,611 reported cases, 44 are considered active, with 20 still around in communal living settings. A total of 1,543 people have recovered.
